6th January 2010
im about to have my 13th bday. its also my golden bday i need some ideas that my friends will love that arent boring and that not many ppl do and it cant cost more then 100 bucks any idea?
What about organising funny dress code, for example only white clothes or red, – whatever!!!! Besides, you can do theme party. Just think what topic could be interesting for your friends – may be from your favourite movie or cartoon. Or may be pool party (of course, it depends on the location). I think you just need to use your imagination. Costumes, decorations could be made with your own hands, using the materials at hand. And it doesn’t requires a lot of material costs.

for some party ideas. If you’re creative, you can make some of your own decorations
and use the rest on some snacks and some drinks. Play a few fun party games, listen to some music and you’ll have some money left over for Christmas!
Good Luck and Happy Birthday!

Hey, I just had my 17th in June (winter here in Australia). This is what we got up to:
What my friends & I did last holidays at a sleepover was all create hypothetical scenarios on some cards.
Then we put them all together, mixed them around a bit, and then pulled one out, read it out and all discussed it.
eg: ‘be rich and not be married or be poor and have a family?’
*going around the circle*
person one: defiantly be rich, I have always wanted to live in a lavish house…
person two: no no! defiantly be poor, at least I will have a family
This was so much fun, because as we went around the circle, we were suprised to see how much we all learnt from each other that we didn’t know!
OR
Perhaps a picnic? This is relatively inexpensive, bring along a picnic basket, some home made cupcakes etc and you can all gossip and have fun at a park.
Or, clear out your garage, get out your stereo , ask your friends to bring along their favourite CD’s. Like the picnic, your only paying for food= cheap.
House parties are the best parties, perhaps make it themed, if your girly, make the theme ‘you all have to wear pink’ or something like that. We had a donut eating competition, dance off (two teams- it sounds lame but everyone was pissing themselves laughing at some of the moves we came up with) and balloon voleyball.
For my friends last party, the theme was "dress as something that shares the first letter of your name".
For example, my names lily and I went as a lion haha.

Consider planning a scavenger or treasure hunt. You can design one yourself or you can purchase one. Check out http://www.mastersofthehunt.com/buy-a-scavenger-hunt.php. They have a couple of free simple scavenger hunts. They also offer more involved scavenger and treasure for hunts that are professionally designed with cool graphics. They can all be customized for your location, time frame, etc.
