Question – How does someone who isn’t famous get invited to Celebrity Parties?

20th August 2009

I’m an aspiring comedian/entertainer and I’m looking for ways to get invited to celebrity  parties to impress peers in my career and network.

Answer: Network, network, network. You must work your way to gain the right to be called a ’somebody’. Once you make it and become ’somebody’, it’ll follow you almost anywhere. For now,  you’ll have to follow people that are like you yet closer to being ’somebody’ than you are.

There’s a saying that you are ten percent of the total sum of the ten people closest to you. If you spend most your time with  non-productive people, then you’ll become one. If you spend a lot of time with successful people, then you’re more likely to be successful. Network. If you don’t personally know ten wealthy or famous people, then read their biographies and learn from them.

It is all about networking, I would suggest to get a job with a Club/Event promoter and that is a sure way in if you work the events. Other than that you have to wait in the "non-celeb" waiting line which can take up to hours to get in.

You work your way to be call the "big shot." Once you are a big shot, it’ll follow you almost anywhere. As of now, I think you’ll have to follow people that are like you or above for a better chance to get in.

    impress others with your career?
    i don’t understand.

First, a celebrity or any of the other celebrity guests wouldn’t really care for your entertainment or jokes, to be harsh. Because, most likely they already have entertainment at the party and you are not famous.

You would need to become famous first (or just popular or even just a good entertainer), then entertain at a nightclub or restaurant where celebs hang out. Get a gig there and celebs & important ppl might think you’re funny.

I’m gonna go hunt for the list of clubs and restaurants where celebs go. I found one once, i’ll post it in another post on here. BRB! lol

what area do you live in the US? vegas? NY?

    help me out though?

Be a waiter for the company that caters them. And get used to it, cos that’s what you’ll be doing if you can’t figure out how to get in a party to network. There’s plenty of ways. But no one told me, I learned on my own. So I’m not just handing it out to someone who can learn the same way.
