What is the cutest Halloween costume for an 11 month old baby boy?
I want to dress my son up super cute for his first halloween, but don’t know what to dress him as.
My favorites thus far are-
A penguin
A firefighter/policeman
a monkey
an old fashioned aviator.
What other cute options are there? What are some ideas for making costumes, or some links to cute ready made ones?
There are so many cute costumes for babies…and if you are creative, you can definitely make some yourself.
Personally, when you factor in all the time and takes to make a costume and add in the cost of supplies, I think it pays to either buy a ready made costume new OR check with your friends to see if you can borrow one.
I saw a really cute Penguin with a top hat…super-adorable
AND a really cute Lion and lots more at this link:

A crayon. My mum made my brother and i the cutest crayon costumes in different colours… red and blue, possibly? She used some kind of wide roll white felt with coloured felt letters stitched onto the side, and stitched the coloured felt band to the bottom. The pointed end of the crayon was just a coloured felt cone hat with elastic for under our chin. You could even just do a pull on baby hat in the colour of the felt (or pick the felt colour to match a hat you have or find). Underneath your little boy can maybe wear a black or navy stretchie to keep warm in.

I am making my son’s costume. He is going to be a little duck because he always makes this really cute face that we call his "duck face"!!!
Here are some ideas:
Turtle
M&M
Peter Pan
Frog
Caterpillar
Chef
Scarecrow
Mouse
Edit: on making a costume, I just picked up a pattern. But for a scarecrow you will just need a pair of jeans, a flannel shirt, a straw hat. Instead of straw sticking out of the sleeves and such just tie some twine around the legs and arms of the clothes and make a rope belt. Just an example!

Check out blackcatcentral.com
They have costumes for infants and toddlers and they have a list of Halloween retailers on the side of the web page if you don’t find anything on their site.
