What are some classy birthday party ideas for a girl turning eighteen?

I turn eighteen in March, and I want to have a super classy party.
I am thinking cocktail themed dress-up, but I really don’t know how to go about doing that.
I don’t make a whole bunch of money, but I want to just have the best party ever.
Any ideas?

Strip clubs classy? Err, ok, if you say so.
Classy places attract classy people, so find out where the nice people like to chill out. Look for some boutique clubs and bars where most of the people are wearing business suits, collar and ties and beautiful shoes.
Then find out is they have special events coming up or if you can reserve a portion of the restaurant for your event. Often these kinds of places will segment off several areas so they can hold a few special parties on the same night.
Insist your guests wear elegant fashions. Copy-paste some ideas into the invitations to be sure they don’t turn up in something they think is elegant, but which would be more suited to a ‘prostitutes and pimps’ costume party.
