Question – Got any good halloween birthday party ideas?

26th August 2009

For my twelfth birthday I want to have a super cool halloween party. Got any decorating ideas? And what are some fun games and activities we can do?

Suggestions: Twelve years old? I bet you want really scary ideas! Frighten your guests as soon as they arrive. Put a ‘Beware’ sign on your front gate or door. Tape off the whole yard with tape like a crime scene.

Have a smoke machine and creepy noises playing. Black out the windows with black plastic, maybe cut some ghost or bat shapes first. Tape black plastic over the door, with a slit up the middle, so they have to climb through to get in. Make sure the front entrance is dark. Just inside the door, have a stroble light flashing, so they have trouble seeing.  Scream and grab their hand as they enter.

You can get ‘bloodied’ sheets online, or make them yourself using fake blood. Ask mum for old sheets. Hang one on the wall, and use one for a tablecloth.

For games, tell ghost stories in a dark room, and get your mum or someone to frighten the heck out of them at the ‘right time’. Before you get to the spooky stories, burn off your energy with a race to see which team  can wrap their mummy (volunteer person) fastest with two rolls of toilet paper.

strobe lights and smoke machines. they look cool

use fake spiders that hang from the ceiling, and get a cool skeleton at the door that had a motion sensor, so that when you walk past it, it’ll go off. definetly have punch in like a pumpkin bowlmake brownies with little bat shapes on them. Bowls of candy and sweets, and a scary movie playing. wear your costumes too, and make it a costume contest!

as for activities, pair off into groups of two, and give a few rolls of toilet paper to each group. whoever can wrap up both partners like a mummy first, wins! also, have a cake walk, and the prize can be a ckae with like a ghost on it or something. or just play pin-the-tail-on-the-ghost. or maybe have pumpkin decorating consest! buy eachpersona pumpkin and give them glue, scissors, parer, glitter, jewels, letters, etc. give them like 10 minutes to decorate their pumpkin and judge them. you could also play musical chairs and play scary, erie halloween music. make sure evry girl gets a prize. I’d feel bad if one girl got like 5 prizes, and the other never won.

Try a chocolate cake with brown crumbles on top with gummie worms. Try looking up on web or grocery store a magazine like Good Housekeeping . These magazines gives great cookie and cooking ideas for Halloween and Christmas

As your 12 you probably want really scary ideas! For decorations first have fake tombstones in your garden and a ‘Beware’ sign on your front door. Tape your windows and front door up with orange tape like a crime scene.

Have a smoke machine and creepy noises playing. Black out the windows, maybe cut some shapes first out of black card to display ghoulish images.

Have a black tablecloth covered in net on the food table and use a drinks fountain with cranberry juice and a fake ’sawn-off’ head on the top.

Games you could play would be ghost stories, tarot cards, murder mystery or ‘The Mummifier’ where you wrap each other in toilet paper. You could also have a disco playing some great spooky tunes.
